In Memory of Jenny Summers
So sorry to relay such sad news that Jenny Summers passed away on Sunday, Sept 18th. Jenny and Claude have been very active members of the club over the last 20 years. Jenny enjoyed spending time at the point area and loved talking with the young and old alike. Please keep Claude and Jenny's entire family in your thoughts and prayers. Jenny's Memorial will be held on October 3rd at 3 pm at Wake Forest Presbyterian Church, 12605 Capital Blvd, Wake Forest, NC 27587. Link to Jenny's Obituary. LNYC wins 24th Annual Peninsula Cup & Club Challenge
Thirteen boats from Lake Norman Yacht Club made the trek down the lake to Peninsula Yacht Club for their 24th Annual Peninsula Cup and Club Challenge. After five races, LNYC Skippers BJ Jones and Trey Sunderland came out on top of their divisions with BJ winning the overall event. Lake Norman Yacht Club won the Club Challenge based on performance and participation. Our burgee will be hanging in the bar at PYC for one year.
